Christmas Brunch table decor

December 3, 2019~ Christmas, tablescape

Everyone does the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, the office Christmas party, coffee with friends, and the cookie exchange – but ladies Christmas brunch? Let’s do it. I created Kate Spade inspired Christmas brunch table decor to set the scene.

I also planned a Kate Spade New Years Eve party last year, and it’s one of my fave.

I’ve got a total soft spot for the Kate Spade table linens – always have – so when I spotted this beautiful Christmas pattern in a round for our kitchen table, I knew I needed to plan something!

Check out my other Kate Spade inspired tablescapes.

Tea Cups for brunch

I’ve taken more and more joy out of using tea cups instead of just coffee cups, so I try to find an excuse to set the table with them when I can.

Besides, you can drink coffee or champagne in them – as well as tea – and they offer a bright pop of colour. I added a lipstick shaped chocolate on the rim as a way to finish each place setting.

Christmas Panetone

Panetone was a Christmas tradition for me growing up, and it’s one I continue to this day. There are a variety of ways to enjoy it – toasted, slathered in butter, as french toast etc. but it’s a delightful fancy toast and can be used in any situation you would use bread for.

I stuck a great big Gingerbread man at the top of the panetone to make it extra festive.

High / Low Place Settings

Although I like to go fancy with some high end pieces and food options, I believe in mixing in some disposable pieces as well.

I love napkins, but there are as many fabric as there are occasions. I’m also always drawn to the fun paper napkins in the check-out aisle, so I’ve decided to use them when hosting, since I have a greater range that way.

Opting for paper napkins and silly party hats, means I can invest in nicer china or tablecloths when the time comes.

Traditional Christmas Table Decor

While it’s fun to add playful touches and all kinds of Kate Spade inspired touches (like pink cutlery, lipstick chocolate etc), I think its important to maintain some traditional flair.

My retro Santa holds all kinds of candy canes, and I set each place setting with a glittery Santa Clause inspired party hat.

The pattern on the tablecloth is plenty festive, and the small things like bottle brush trees, mince meat, and giant bows complete the look.

Despite the rotating cats and the weather outside – oh so frightful – I’ve created cozy and colourful Christmas table decor inspired by the late, great, Kate Spade.

All I need are my guests and big ole’ cup of coffee to get this party going.
