Citrus & Graphic summer tablescape

August 3, 2021~ Parties & entertaining, Summer, tablescape

*first published July 13th 2017

For this tablescape I wanted to do something graphic but also summery, and I wanted an occasion to use all my stunning florals. Over the past year I’ve accumulated quite the nice assortment of buds from Afloral. View my Fall Floral Centrepiece // 6 tips for the perfect Christmas Party // Eclectic Christmas Tablescape // Martha Stewart Inspired Easter Basket Centrepiece // & // Easter Tablescape //.

The following product links contain affiliate links. Thank you for supporting the brands that make PMQ for two possible. For my full policies click // here //

Don’t forget, you can shop key pieces from this look using the widget below:

The backyard, which we redid for the Spring One Room Challenge // here // is the perfect place to host a summer dinner party, and the pergola provides added privacy when the white curtains are drawn. They also provide a stunning backdrop against which all the colours and pattern can shine.

You just can’t get better than this. I shared a quick video of the scene on my Instagram stories and many of you reacted with awe and wonderment at the scene, which tells me I’m doing something good. You really had to be there to take it all in, but I think the photos have done a lovely job.

The place setting is simple. I added a contrasting blue patterned placemat, a pink chargers and cutlery, and blue linens and plates to provided contrast and balance. I think the scene was sheer perfection – or dare I say “pear-faction” 😉

Don’t forget to circle back tomorrow to catch the recipe for this week’s TGIF cocktail! Hint: it involves peaches. Although my Blackberry Mint Julep would // here // or cocktail freezies // here // would go beautifully as well.

What a fearless use of color, Ariel! Those colors just explode all over your table setting and bar cart (love!). Who wouldn’t smile sitting at that table?!

Ariel, I feel like I’m inside a rainbow. The bright colors against the white white background is fantastic. Love your tablescloth and all the flowers. Happy to be sharing the Summer Tablescape bog hop with you.
