Yesterday I showed you guys how I created my DIY colouring page dinner invite postcard // here // and this is the accompanying tablescape! Tomorrow I’ll have details on the cocktail of the week.
If you’re joining me from Rosemary & Thyme or A Casa Di Bianca, welcome! My name is Ariel and I create bold, bright, colourful & creative home decor and DIYs. You can check-out my project gallery // here // and I encourage you to read more about me // here //.
For this tablescape I wanted to do something graphic but also summery, and I wanted an occasion to use all my stunning florals. Over the past year I’ve accumulated quite the nice assortment of buds from Afloral. The backyard, which we redid for the Spring One Room Challenge // here // is the perfect place to host a summer dinner party, and the pergola provides added privacy when the white curtains are drawn. They also provide a stunning backdrop against which all the colours and pattern can shine.
You just can’t get better than this. I shared a quick video of the scene on my Instagram stories and many of you reacted with awe and wonderment at the scene, which tells me I’m doing something good. You really had to be there to take it all in, but I think the photos have done a lovely job.
The place setting is simple. I added a contrasting blue patterned placemat, a pink chargers and cutlery, and blue linens and plates to provided contrast and balance. I think the scene was sheer perfection – or dare I say “pear-faction” 😉

Don’t forget to circle back tomorrow to catch the recipe for this week’s TGIF cocktail! Hint: it involves peaches. Although my Blackberry Mint Julep would // here // or cocktail freezies // here // would go beautifully as well.
