Fall Porch Style

September 14, 2015~ Fall

Remember how I was complaining about how everyone and their mother has already decorated for fall?! (If you need a reminder, check out my first fall decor post here) Well, I’ve decided to beat them at their own game and am unveiling my fall porch style!

The HBC blanket featured here is NOT the one I snagged while thrifting the other day (that one’s at the dry cleaner) but this is one of the many wool blankets we received for our wedding.

I’ve swapped our doormats around, and placed the black trellis one from the spring & summer style by the back door. If you’re jelly of my box planters, you can see how I went about it here. We got the folding deck chair in a set of four from our friend who was downsizing. It’s a great chair to sit on the porch and sit your morning coffee with.

Like the wreath? In the next couple of weeks, Angie from Echoes of Laughter will be hosting a blog hop party and to showcase wreathes from fellow Canadian Home Decor and DIY bloggers, so stay tuned for more! In the meantime, enjoy this little sneak-peek!

We have a family of bluejays in the neighbourhood, so I wanted to feature them in my wreath! They’re noisy as f*ck, but they’re gorgeous nonetheless!

As I styled and then photographed my fall porch, a pack of kids on bikes rode by and stopped to stare and comment on my fall porch style. Everyone’s a critic eh?

What do you think of my fall porch style?

As fall rolls around the corner I’ll be adding bits and pieces to help finalize my fall porch style, and will be doing the entryway this week! I have so much to photograph and blog about before I hit the road for Blog Podium 2015! Eek! two weeks!

Thanks Alicia! This one we received as a wedding gift! I’ve got a big blanket I found at Vallue Village at the dry cleaner’s but I can’t wait to add it to the porch 🙂

I think your fall porch is great! Your blanket caught my eye right away… and I’m not just jelly of your box planters, I’m jelly of the whole thing. Did I mention I haven’t done a darn thing to our porch yet?

Thank you so mucj Sheila! Funny story, I had to take it all down the next day as the housing association was redoing all our driveways 🙁 Hopefully they finish in time for me to get it all back up for a bit before Halloween
