It all depends what you want to do, but you can really get away with just using the basic blade that comes with the machine and a simple mat.
The add-ons become interesting the more complex the project. There is everything from a 24×24′ cutting mat for those extra big projects, to deep-cut blades for thicker materials (you then use your machine on “custom” setting and chose the materials from the dropdown menu)
The standard tool set which has everything you’ll need to weed, apply, transfer and cut your materials. I keep mine on a binger ring so that I don’t lose them! Although you can technically store them in the little compartment on the front of the machine.
Transfer tape is also a must-have for working with vinyl, but not required for other projects.
You can also add-on a membership to the Cricut Access (available in the design space) which is great for all the images and projects you may want to do.
I’ve assembled all my favourite items & some good deals below for your convenience.
