DIY Take Away Pie Boxes

Back to pie. I originally saw this little DIY in a Friendsgiving post on Brit.co // here // and they included a free printable for the box, so I uploaded it to my Cricut Design Space and got to work.

Cutting a Pie Box with Craft Paper

Using your Cricut Explore Air 2 (or just a pair of scissors – but trust me, it’s a million times faster with your Cricut) cut the outline of the take away pie box.

Assembling Take Away Pie Boxes

You’ll need a ruler for this, or at least if you want clean lines. Using a ruler, fold the card stock along all the dotted lines in the graphic from Step 1.

Using a glue stick, apply glue to the folded flaps and assemble. Make sure you hold eacb piece for a few seconds as you go to ensure that everything sticks.

Cut a vinyl decal to apply to the take away pie box. I used the Gregory Font front dafont.com and wrote-up “pie” so feel free to use the image below for your own project.

The weeding may take a while with all the small cuts, but it’s worth it. You can also use the negative space from the word as a variation. Notice how there are two versions of “pie” below? It’s all from one cut yo.

Reinforce the joints on the take away pie boxes as needed, and stack them for your party.
