Our BLANCO LIVEN Laundry Sink

This past fall when we put in our laundry room & mud room, we added a super necessary laundry/utility sink. In our previous set-up, we didn’t have one! I showed you guys a little of it last fall, but I was waiting to have lived with the BLANCO LIVEN & POSH for a while, before showcasing them fully.

BLANCO LIVEN Laundry Sink

Every house really needs a laundry/utility sink. Think about where you want to pre-soak laundry, wash paint brushes, clean mops, water plants etc. I could do different things in our existing sinks, but what I really wanted a sink that could catch all those tasks without taking another essential space out of commission. I can’t go a full day without my kitchen or bathroom sinks.

We went with BLANCO’s LIVEN for a few reasons:

Generous 12″ bowl depth
Made of SILGRANIT
Can be installed as an undermount or a drop-in

I can easily leave items to soak in there, and frequently have large items like bath towels, bed sheets etc. Textiles can never be too clean!

BLANCO SILGRANIT

You’ll recall, we used a BLANCO sink in our retro kitchen. That sink was made from SILGRANIT, and it has held up remarkably well to staining and use over the past year (watch for that post soon).

SILGRANIT is:

Non-porous surface is food-safe and easy to clean

This means it holds up well to craft clean-up, like rinsing paint brushes, cleaning supplies, and more.

and the handy sink rack means I can leave things like brushes, sponges, and scrubbers, to dry without taking-up counter-space.

BLANCO POSH Faucet

It’s kind of a no-brainer that we would use a BLANCO faucet to go with a BLANCO sink. We chose the POSH because it came in white (to match the LIVEN), and because of its features:

Pull-out, insulated handspray with dual selectable spray patterns
160° swivel for optimal range of motion
Solid brass construction

As you saw in the video, it means I can move it around to fit bigger items like house plants in the sink, or even when bathing June, to make sure she doesn’t hit her head.
