Have you always wondered how to make donut glaze? it's easy! especially when you add Jackson Morgan's summer flavours to your recipe. Give these colorful glazes a try with a dozen store bought faves this weekend.

How to Glaze A Donut

So this is actually pretty straightforward – you drizzle your glaze over freshly made donuts, or in this case, dip donuts into your glaze to get a top-only finish.

I bought these donuts at the grocery store, because THAT’S HOW I ROLL, but if you wanted to make your own donuts, this recipe from Kitchen @ Hoskins for super soft glazed donuts is aces.

Donut Glaze with Jackson Morgan Recipe

1 cup confectioner’s sugar, 2 tbsps water, food coloring (if you want a stronger color) and 1/2 tsp of Jackson Morgan in various flavours. Because I’m making these in the summer, I used Jackson Morgan’s Banana Pudding Cream, Whipped Orange Cream, and Peaches & Cream. But they would be equally tasty this fall with the Southern Bread Pudding as a glaze.

I recommend having a spatula and a few mini whisks on hand, and a bowl for each flavor you want to use. Sprinkles are optional.

Start by assembling the donut glaze base: mix 1 cup of confectioner’s sugar with 2 tbsps of water in a bowl.

I then divided the icing into 3 smaller bowls so that I could flavor the glaze without having to make a cup at a time.

At this point, add 1/2 tspn of your Jackson Morgan flavors. If you wanted, you could skip the water entirely and just use 2 tbsps of Jackson Morgan, but that works better if you’re making on glaze. This way you get multiple flavors in smaller batches.

As I mentioned above, I also added a few drops of food coloring to enhance some of the natural color in the whiskey cream, but you could easily leave them as is. I figured this way it would easier for people to identify the flavor they wanted.

Now comes the fun part! Dipping your donuts in the various Jackson Morgan flavors. I like the dip and swirl, and then I put them on a platter or rack to drip and dry before serving.

It really is that easy to glaze donuts using Jackson Morgan, and now that you know that, what are the chances you’ll create tasty glazes for everything you bake? Chances are high.

Glazed Jackson Morgan Donuts

I was trying to think of a way to display my newly glazed donuts for our guests, and decided that a donut wall is very much 2 years ago, and I didn’t just want them sitting on a tray. Instead, I chose a rainbow of decorative plates from my cabinet collection, and displayed them with napkins and cutlery accordingly.

Pick your poison and your fave flavor! You can’t go wrong.

I also offered the very flavors I used in the glazes, for my guests to enjoy a few ounces of.
