Tassel and Pom Pom Decanter Tags

With the Fall One Room Challenge reveal tomorrow I’m in the process of finishing-up all the small projects that I’ve had on the back burner for a month now. Adding tassels and pom poms to our decanters was DEFINITELY top of my list, because who doesn’t love a chic little bar scene. These tassel and pom pom decanter tags are a chill way to spend an afternoon, so next time you’ve got a few minutes you should work on a few for yourself.

I’ve opted to not write the name of each spirit on the tag (long story involving many failed attempts at cutting the letters, spraying magnets, and writing by hand). But for now these are just cute as is and add a lot of colour to the crystal scene.

Step 1: Create your ribbon and tassel pairings. You can use complementary colours or chose to go for a little contrast. I’ve used the same range of colours for the tassels as I have for the ribbons, and then just swapped them around for a little fun.

Step 2: Add any pom poms or beads to the mix. The cute pom poms have a little loop, so it’s easy to thread them on, but for the beads you’ll need to pass the wire through them and tie it off in a loop around the ribbon.

Step 3: Once you’re happy with ow everything looks, tie ’em off around the decanters or bottles. If you’ve got enough ribbon you can makte a cute bow, otherwise a big knot will have to do.

The tassel and pom pom decanter tags are quite literally a 3 step craft, but sometimes those are the best ones. The best part is that you could add any kind of embellishment to the arrangements by adding ornaments or fresh beads as the seasons go on.

Here you’re not only getting to see inside my amazing MCM sideboard, but you’re getting a peek into the semi-organized state in which I live most of my life, HA! There’s some order there, but it’s still a little messy if you dig bag far enough.
