Starting 2016 off on the right foot

I’m back! and I’m starting 2016 off on the right foot. Let me tell you, those two weeks were much needed and definitely helped me put some things into perspective.

I got a new job, decided to invest in some grown-up facial cleansers and creams (I look red in all my photos!), I’ve decided to drink less coffee, and try to incorporate even more colour into our lives. This is the year of living boldly and good vibes only.

good vibes only

Like I said in my Year in Review post, I was burnt out by December 1st. If you remember, in early March 2015 I switched my blog to it’s current home and ramped up activities. I started setting goals, working on my branding, booked a trip to my first blog conference, landed several brand relationships which I hope to keep going this year, and ultimately laid-out a path for continued growth. But phew! It was tiring. I need a better handle on things. Going through things with my hair on fire looking busy isn’t good enough.

Like a lot of other bloggers I seem to be questioning the place of my blog in my life and how the pace of content creation impacts my life. Do we continue to shoot for editorial timelines or shoot in real time? Because PMQ for two is in a period of growth I’ll continue to shoot and schedule for editorial timing. I greatly enjoy it, it gives me a head start on the seasons and oddly enough I find myself more relaxed by the time I get to the actual holidays because I’ve already gone through the motions. But that’s me.

As far as 2016 goes, PMQ for two is still accepting sponsorship opportunities and partners. I spent a good part of these past two weeks setting up a post schedule that reaches further and further into the year while allowing me to work through a lot of posts and projects I’ve wanted to do.

PMQ for two will be participating in two regular blog hops this year. Every month myself and 11 other bloggers will be doing a #12monthsofdiy challenge (launching VERY SOON), our first project is using mason jars. As well, myself and 5 other bloggers will be tackling “one project 6 different ways”. Exciting! Can’t wait to share our first projects with you guys.

Part of my blogging resolutions for the year include spending more time on my photography, bringing a series of free printables to you guys, and expanding my year-round project gallery offerings. Keep the feedback coming! It’s how I’m shaping and expanding blog operations.

With that being said, I’m excited to see how the year goes! Thanks for coming along for the ride guys. Let’s make 2016 bold and beautiful!
