Noel Ornaments

It’s monday and you know what that means right?! Another round of the Canadian home decor and DIY bloggers’ christmas DIY gifts. Remember my peppermint vodka last week? Well this week I’m offering my noel ornaments.

I fell in love with the shape of these orbs and knew that I had to do something fun with them. I’m working more pink and rose gold into our decor this year, and these ornaments are the perfect vehicles for that!

It’s a super easy DIY, all you need is three complimentary paint colours. I went with gold, pink and red.

Materials list

3 complimentary paint colours
paper mache ornaments

Instructions

Step 1 – Paint one segment and its opposite segment in the same colour

Step 2- Repeat step 1 but with another colour

Step 3 – Repeat step 1 but with the final colour

Step 4 – Hand paint whatever greeting you wish! I chose “noel” because we live in French Canada so some good old french never hurt anyone.

Step 5 (Optional) – paint the year you’re giving the ornament on one of the segments. It’s an extra way to mark the year and place it in time many Christmas from now.

Make sure you touch up any lines to make sure everything is clean and good to go!

This guy even made an appearance in our Christmas bar cart styling from last week’s DIY Starburst Wreath!

Now it’s time for some more DIY Christmas gift ideas from my Canadian blogging friends. Get ready for some wonderful handmade gift inspiration for your holidays!
