Mini Hoop Fall Wreaths

You didn’t think I was going to let fall get underway without a wreath did you? I’ll do you one better, I made mini purple fall wreaths for under 20$, and I think you’ll love ’em. After all, they are easy to string together or display separately, and the purple with black & white feels super on trend for the season.

See, we just moved into our new home, and not many spaces have been remotely completed, but our bedroom is looking pretty slick. I’m not going minimal on you — don’t worry — but there is something to be said for working with a more paired down palette for a bit.

I had considered buying a wreath this year and just calling it there, but nothing in stores was speaking to me. There were parts that I loved, and then there was always something wrong with each of them. It was a frustrating pursuit, so I solved the issue by making my own.

I’ve been intrigued by the idea of doing 3 mini wreaths that hang together, since spotting some little boxwood ones with Christmas decor on Pinterest. I have a photographic memory for seasonal decor. Kidding not kidding.

What do you need to make mini purple fall wreaths?

You’ll need 3 small crafting hoops, faux purple foliage, a hot glue gun, some decorative mini pumpkins, ribbon, and anything else you want! I grabbed everything at Michaels, but you can get it online by clicking through the links above.

How to make mini wreaths

This part is super simple – snip branches off the foliage using wire snips. I trimmed them so that two of them would cover the wreath. Once the bits are trimmed, use your hot glue gun to attach them. Much like with my gold laurel wreath, I positioned the branches so that they would cross at the bottom and top.

Once both are attached, it’s time to add a decorative touch! Michaels also had these little sprigs of black and white glitter pumpkins, so I snipped them and glued one on each. Boom! so easy.

How do you hang mini wreaths?

Let me tell, there are many ways to hang a wreath: ribbon, hangers, command hooks, frames etc. There’s no right or wrong way. I do however think that hanging these 3 mini purple fall wreaths is most impactful when done with a simple ribbon. I opted for sheer black, and love it.

Displaying your mini fall wreaths

Like I mentioned above, the house is in chaos, but thankfully our bedroom is a little oasis of calm and cleanliness. That being said, there are definitely pumpkins on display, and now, my mini purple fall wreaths.
