Lemon Gin Champagne Cocktail

Now that Dan is my bar tender, and I can’t drink, I’m having fun dressing him up to suit the cocktail at hand. For spring I wanted to throw another cocktail your way, this time a lemon gin champagne cocktail. Oh yes it can be done.

Check out the rest of my TGIF Cocktail series!

A Lemon Gin Champagne Cocktail is the perfect easter or spring treat, and it goes well with anything! Best part, it's a 3 ingredient cocktail.

We’re also setting up temporary bar in the pink office, while the basement and kitchen are under reno.

This pink stencilled bone inlay dresser really is the piece that keeps on giving.

Gin Cocktails

I love gin. It took years for me to wrap my mind around it, but one hot summer day a few years ago, an ice cold G & T went down easier than a fat kid on a see-saw. Ever since, I’ve been trying to find ways to enjoy this clear spirit.

There’s quite a few ways to incorporate a variety of gins into your bar repertoire – especially if you’re using any of the Stirrings Bar Cart essentials, so the champagne cocktail is just another way to do it!

Making the Lemon Gin Champagne Cocktail

For this gin and champagne cocktail you’ll need Dillon’s Rose Gin, Champagne (or Prosecco), Lemon Syrup (or lemonade), a cocktail shaker, and the other bar essentials.

As you can see, Dan takes some warming up when he’s in front of the camera. He eventually smiles like a normal person, but I gotta start telling jokes. And then he touches his moustache and we’re good to go.

You start by loading your shaker with ice, and then layering in the ingredients. Start with 1oz of rose gin (but regular gin will do just fine if you can’t get your hands on the good stuff).

If you’re adding lemonade, you’ll need 2 oz, but if you’re using a lemon based syrup you’ll use less and add more champagne.

Give it a stir to make sure everything is mixing, and then strain into your cup. I went with a delicate stem glass.

After that, top up the glass with champagne! As much or as little as you’d like, it’s up to you! And then garnish with a finely shaved carrot or a fun stir stick.

Voila! My Lemon Gin Champagne Cocktail is a simple 3 ingredient cocktail that will put a pep in your easter step.
