DIY Gift Card Holders

I love a well wrapped gift, but sometimes the occasion calls for a gift card. How the heck do you present a gift card? You can use the little pouches or sleeves they come with, you can buy a ready made gift card holder, or you can make your own! I’ve created 5 different DIY Gift Card Holders using felt and craft paper, with tons of embellishments. Now when I go about handing out gift cards this year, they’ll all look a little more snazzy.

*Woman Shops World sponsored this post, but all thoughts are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make PMQ for two possible.

You would never know that there are in fact a whole bunch of gift cards in this here pile o’ gifts. I’ll be following this up with some wrapped gifts next week, so don’t get your panties in a twist if you think I’m foregoing that 😉

The Back Of An Ornament: Using a large ornament, glue a piece of velvetty card stock the size of a pouch big enough for a gift card, to the back.

The Flat Pack: Place your gift card in the middle of a piece of cardstock, and tape it to securely affix it. Start by folding one side in, then the bottom side, then the other side, and finish by folding the top corner down. You can secure it however you’d like but I used a dollop of hot glue before finishing with a ribbon and bow.

The Felt Pouch: Using a piece of craft felt create a pouch by gluing down two sides of the felt and folding it in half. Cut two sets of holes for ribbon at the opening of the pouch. Thread a large ribbon through it and add an ornament.

Paper Envelope: Place a gift card along the edge of a piece of cardstock, fold a side over, and then fold the bottom up and tape. Fold the other side over so that the seems align and tape. Cut a little envelope lip at the top of the envelope. Slide the gift card in before taping and jazzing it up with a tinsel tassel.

In The Open: Cut a square of glittery cardstock, tape the card to the center, and then wrap in a bow. Finish with a pom pom or two for good measure.
