I’ve been on the hunt for some retro looking plaid thermoses, since early August. Sure enough, I’ve been slowly acquiring them to use this fall. But before I do (and after a cycle on the power scrub in the dishwasher), I wanted to give them a custom touch, with some DIY Fall Vinyl Decals. While i was it, I gave a tray I found at the thrift, a bit of a makeover too.

See, there are very few things that a little vinyl can’t do to enhance something. I’ve used all kinds of vinyls, foils and HTVs to create my own pieces over the years, and each one has been special and unique in its own way.

How to make DIY Fall Vinyl Decals
For this round of projects, I used image files that were already in the design space as part of my Cricut Access. I don’t do that very often, but this time I did!
This part is real simple if you’ve got a Cricut, simply select the image files from // my project canvas here //, size them accordingly, and cut!
What you need to make vinyl decals

First, you’ll need a Cricut Explore Air
Make sure you select the correct material (adhseive foil), from the “custom” list of cutting materials in the design space.
Apply the Fall Vinyl Decals to your Thermos & Tray
I weeded the vinyl decals, and then applied them using some transfer tape.
Once the fall vinyl decals are applied, your job is done! Super simple eh? This easy fall DIY packs a lot of punch, for a little effort.

I love the thermoses as much as I love my tray. I split two different graphics apart to use at this scale, but you can leave them intact if you want. I think the rose gold foil looks so good against the blues and greens, so I wanted to accent with a little pink.
