Colourful & Eclectic Christmas Home Tour

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas house tour season! If you’ve been waiting with bated breath since my fall house tour // here // then the wait is over. Christmas is the best time of year for my colourful & eclectic style since it seems like the only season that I can be so blatant about meshing various styles. Big thank you to Shannon and Christina for organizing the tour! Make sure you scroll to the bottom to catch the links to all the other participants.

Today I’m up along with  Amidst the Chaos | Clean and Scentsible | A Burst of Beautiful | Rambling Renovators so make sure you check them out!

*HomeSense sponsored this post, but all thoughts are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make PMQ for two possible.

Come tour a Colourful & Eclectic Christmas Home Tour, full of rich patterns, styles and whimsical touches.

I like to start my tours at the front door, so welcome! I took this shot for my front porch tour // here // and love, love, love it! The red door is seasonal, and the greenery is perfection agaisnt the colours.

I hope you saw my IG post on Friday with the nutcrackers, because those bad boys have been giving me some much joy. Each time I walk through the door I get to see them and remember all the years we’ve spent together and the story behind each one.

You’ll notice that my Christmas tree is conspicuously absent, and that’s because I’ve got an entire post about it on Thursday, so make sure you circle back if you’re interest.

I’ve been collecting chinoiserie plantersand lots of blue pottery lately, and I thought they would look lovely with pink poinsettias. The green foo dog was another Value Village find, but the Wedgewood ornament was a gift from my mother. It’s too pretty to just hang on the tree, so I wanted to display it in a special way.

This little nook in the kitchen is quickly becoming my favourite. I bought the cake stand at HomeSense for my Hot Cocoa Bar // here //. The mugs and tea towels are also from HomeSense, but I bought them just because. I love the colours on the mug, and I think the towel will transition nicely through winter.

The little santa was another thrifted find and I’m quite happy I decided to get him. He’s perfect for holding candy canes and looks adorable next to the italian countryside blue charger that my mom got me.

Can we talk about how cute these Nutcracker shot glasses are? I picked them up a few weeks ago at HomeSense and thought they’d be perfect for some Gingerbread Vodka shots // here //.

The red deer is a modern re-issue of the MCM style Christmas deer that I got last year, and have been dying to bust it out again. You’ll see later that I got another one while I was at it.

The boughs in my stairway last year were kind of a runaway success and I was NOT expecting that. So this year I started prepping the staircase so that it would look that much better at Christmas. I installed a runner // here // and painted just so that the greenery would look fantastic at Christmas.

The ornaments on the bough are from HomeSense. I’ve been buying them here and there, usually a box or two during each trip. I put the boughs in last weekend and love how they make the house smell.

The deer head is actually from HomeSense but I purchased it to be part of my advent calendar // here // and painted the nose red!

Toby was around for the shoot, so he spent a lot of time darting in and out of photos. I managed to get a few cute ones of him, and I really really like this one.

The cat bowties are from the Fredericton SPCA and are part of a fundraiser for a cat fund dedicated to fighting feline obesity.

And last but not least, the bathroom. I made it over this past spring // here // and thought the disco wreath with a big pink velvet ribbon was perfect. I added two little hand-painted nutcrackers as well. I think this is the most “decor” the bathroom needs for this time of yer 😉
