I’ve been showing sneak peeks of what’s been arriving for months now, but today I wanted to share some colorful baby registry must haves, in case you’re looking into making one for yourself, or have some baby showers to attend and want to get something colorful.
* West Coast Kids sponsored this post, but all thoughts are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make PMQ for two possible.
Almost everything has been purchased already, and we are so so grateful for our friends and family who wanted to contribute to baby girl’s start in this world.
We’re saving things like the stroller and crib reveal for a bit later when we’re talking about the nursery and more. In the meantime, make sure you pin some of these for the slew of baby showers on your horizon!

Colorful Baby Toys To Buy
Ok so everyone wants to buy baby toys – they’re darn cute, colorful, and an easy choice to make. Or are they? When putting together our registry, we tried to stick to wood & educational toys, or soft books. There will be enough plastic in her environment, we didn’t want her sticking plastic toys in her mouth.
Items picture & more: Black & White Art Cards, Happy Puppy Toy, Bunny Wood Rattle, Tiger Activity Centre, American Sign Language Blocks, Multi-Colored Conical Tower, Skwish, French ABC Blocks, Safari Jumble Wooden Puzzle, Wooden Toy Camera, Rody Horse, Lancelot the Lion, Jellycat Kitty Tails Book, and Fancy the Peacock
Colorful Baby Seats, Carriers & Accessories
I cannot sing the praises of the Stokke Tripp Trapp enough! I kind of got lost looking at all the seating/reclining options for babies, and wanted to keep things simple, so we did! After seeing the Tripp Trapp in West Coast Kids, I fell in love with its versatility and look. They call it the chair for life, and I believe it. We added some other fun seating options + accessories to round-out our arsenal.
Bumbo Floor Seat, Swan Rocking Horse, Tripp Trapp (red), Tripp Trapp Newborn Attachment, Tripp Trapp Cushion, Tripp Trapp Baby Set, Lamb Pod stroller & Car Seat Cover, Ergo Baby Adapt Carrier, and Seaport Swaddle.
Color Filled Baby Books
Babies love contrast and strong colors eh? Well these books are not only a treat for you, but a treat for baby. They’re colorful, playful, and look good enough to have them framed as pieces of art for the nursery. I’ve also written a post about baby & toddler books for kids featuring strong female leads.
Little Feminists Board Books, My First Shapes with Frank Lloyd Wright, Matisse’s Dance with Joy, Baby’s First Eames, Andy Warhol So Many Stars, My Museum, Alexandre Girard’s Color, Pat The Bunny, The Rap ABC Board Book, and Peekaboo.
Colorful Baby Wellness Items
Beyond all the usual stuff, you can make colorful choices when it comes to things like diaper pails, bath accessories, wellness must haves, and more. I even chose a fun little plug for our Hakaas, and the ear protection we got her.
Banz Earmuffs, Ear & Forehead Thermometer, Nasal Aspirator, Hakaa Silicone Pump, Bumbo Changing Pad, Burt’s Bees Baby Bubble Bath, Wipe Carrier, Diaper Genie, Hakaa Stopper, Penaten Diaper Cream, Lotus Baby Bath, Washcloth Set, and Silicone Baby Bottles.
What else would you have included? Tell me in the comments! I’m keeping a few things up my sleeve for now, but I’m always open to suggestions!

My little guy is almost 5 months now. Here are some things i have loved having. IF you love colourful books check out the Baby Lit books collection (Chapters carries them along with other books stores). For carriers the ergo baby and the boba wrap are a must. I also have a sully wrap but it just doesn’t work on a curvier frame. I splurged on a mommaroo. Worth every penny. I didn’t see what you got for a diaper pail, probably saving that for the nursery reveal, I hope it’s a ubbi. I adore mine. If breastfeeding isn’t working (I had trouble and am combo feeding) get yourself the boon bottle accessories (grass drying mat and dishwasher accessories). I also highly recommend Dr. Brown’s and comotomo bottles. Lastly if the hakka doesn’t cut it I adore my medela freestyle pump. I can shove it in my pocket and get some chores done while I pump. For baby hygiene I can’t say enough good things about the Zoli buzz b nail file. I used that exclusively for 4 months. I also adore the baby Frieda products like their nail clipper and cradle cap brush. Finally, get yourself a plain old thermometer for rectal or armpit checks for the first few months. I learned the hard way the forehead one doesn’t cut it until they’re a bit bigger.

Vous avez toute une collection! Cependant, il vous manque un classique…le livre de Roch Carrier “Le Chandail de hockey” version française ou anglaise.????
