*Editor’s note: We moved from one PMQ to another a year into our posting. Here’s the post detailing the move.
The new Q has an entryway; a space that greets you when you open the door before inviting you into the house. We have a coat closet, an overhead light, and a space framed by the stair case. We’ve wanted a space like this for ages and are thrilled to finally get it!
Because the entryway is way greets you and creates the first impression, I’ve started putting some thought into it and looking for PMQ entryway ideas. Most of our room layouts and furniture will be transferable to the new space with minimal modifications, I’m leaving them to last.
This is a set I created on Polyvore (something I haven’t had time to do in AGES) with the different type of tables I’m considering for the entry console.
Several of these options are available at either Target or IKEA (or a local store) and as I play around with shapes, sizes, and materials, I thought I’d let you all in on the fun!
I’ve created a Pinterest board with more PMQ entryway ideas and entryway style in general. Put-together looks for the space will really help me fine tune the look I’m going for. I’m looking to incorporate the following elements into the space:
– A mirror
– Table with storage options
– a fun burst of colour of a pattern that draws the eye
This is what we’ll be working with, so I’ll have to incorporate the bars and tricky light.
These entryways have given me so much inspiration, what elements do you pick up on?
How do you style your entryway?
