Just to give you an idea of what kind of day it was around here on sunday: I made cookie dough, just to eat it, and the decided I should bake some of it. Last night, we were seriously laking in desert items, and all DH and I wanted was cookie dough. We have a problem, and I will be checking into the Betty Crocker clinic shortly.
Since I’m still waiting on some finishing touches before doing the whole photo shoot- read art and some decor furnishings- I thought I’d share some sneak peeks at spaces that are done. Not too much, but just enough.
Our front entryway hasn’t changed much, but I think it’s paired down simplicity accomplishes its purpose in the tight space. I use it as a staging ground for seasonal decor; at Christmas it helped display our nutcracker collection, and in spring it will host large bouquets of flowers. Right now it’s hosting my little mailbox for love letters to and from DH. Yea that’s right, LOVE LETTERS! be jealous.
On the second floor, my make-up and jewellery table is nestled in a beautifully day-lit space beside the bathroom on the landing. It’s cozy, it’s mine, and it keeps all this clutter out of the master bedroom.
Our TV room is nice and comfy. It was completed shortly before we left for our Christmas vacation, so we haven’t had much time until recently to enjoy it, and that’s just what we’re doing. Lounging, eating cookie dough, and watching the Sopranos.
The master bedroom took the longest to complete, mostly due to the fact that I couldn’t get a read on the space for quite a while. Was I going to keep it dark and grey like the last one? Or run the opposite way? I chose to take the room in a different direction, and I think you’ll like it.
On friday when I was putting some finishing touches on the room, I finally added the amazing blue lion-head pulls (previewed on Instagram earlier this weekend) from PrettyWare on etsy. The owner Barbara, is a military mom, and always willing to help out, so make sure to send her a message and ask questions if you have any!
She has an amazing selection of knobs, pulls, and handles for furniture of all shapes and sizes, and it’s a nice way to revamp a space or a piece on a budget. Some of her stock is unique though, so if you see something you like, snatch it up quickly!!
The kitchen, dinning room, and sitting room still have some things to be added, but at this point it’s a question of time as we wait for things to arrive in the mail! I won’t give away the tour for free, so instead you’re going to have to wait for the full reveal to see more.
What do you think of it so far?
