I’m giving Polyvore a try! It’s a site I’ve had in my super secret arsenal for a week or two..or three… and have only now gathered the courage to share some of the rooms I created. This is an example of an e-design (see services), but instead of using the polyvore products which all cost WAY more than I’d ever spend, I’d be using articles and items that are available in our area. Please let me know what you think!!
I started this room by picking a carpet. Polyvore gives us about 33 different pages with carpet examples, and this particular one spoke to me this AM. I loved the colours and patterns, and thought it would allow for some really good combos. Off I went!
I added two couches in neutral tones, which would allow for colourful accessories. You can always spray-paint something a different colour, or paint the walls, but you are stuck with an orange couch forever my friends!
The red side table is available in a similar form at Target, as are most of the accessories. Red curtains are available almost anywhere, and this carpet can be found in varying shapes and sizes at Walmart, Target, Ikea, and the Canac. I know right?
The big blue light in the bottom right corner would ideally hang over the coffee table as the central light fixture, and the gold orb could go on any number of tables.
Now that I’ve gathered the courage, I will make more rooms and share!
